2019 FOUR Chardonnay

Our very first vintage, 2009, was a mere FOUR barrels; two of which became "Golden Slope" and the others "White Hill". In 2011, we began producing our Rosé and then introduced another Chardonnay. In homage to that first vintage, and since this was the FOURth wine in our portfolio, we opted to name our flagship "FOUR".

The FOUR Chardonnay is produced utilizing only the most compelling barrels from the vintage. Aged for 18 months in 20% new French oak this wine continues to be the "showstopper" it was in 2011 -- and then some.

Rich and round with subtle notes of brioche, lemon peel, vanilla, hazelnut and saline. The acid is fresh and vibrant, leaving you yearning for another sip. While still very youthful, we recommend either decanting to enjoy now or putting this away in your cellar for a number of years. Anticipated maturity is 2024-2030.
