2016 La Hermana Chardonnay

With a nod to the deep Spanish roots of the town of Santa Maria, we are excited to introduce to you La Hermana, the first "sister" to our Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnays, hailing from the sisterly, neighboring AVA of Santa Maria Valley

AGING: 100% neutral barrel fermentation & aging. Ten months in barrel.

PROFILE: Fresh linen, zesty minerality, marzipan, refreshing herbs & flowers, taut, polished. This bottling exhibits a bit more tropical fruit than its Sta. Rita Hills counterparts.

FOOD PAIRING: Halibut or scallop crudo; cheese and charcuterie with pickled vegetables

Stone fruits, toasted nuts, crushed rocks, and brioche notes all emerge from the glass and it's beautifully balanced, has bright acidity, and a great finish.
