2017 'SBC' Pinot Noir
She is definitely a lady! The 2017 'SBC' Pinot Noir utilizes 4 different vineyards within Sta. Rita Hills (Spear Vineyards, Radian, Sanford & Benedict, and Peake Ranch). This wine saw a little less time in barrel than the single-vineyard Pinot Noirs and still includes just touch of stems and new barrel.
This Pinot Noir exhibits the grace and elegance that draws many winemakers to the Sta Rita Hills. Aromas of dried cranberry, fruit leather, fresh parsley, and tea leaves leap from the glass. On the palate, the wine is both energetic and sophisticated with great intensity and depth of flavor. The finish is long and savory, keeping you wanting to come back for another sip. Look for this wine to age well over the next decade.
