2016 White Hill Chardonnay
Sta. Rita Hills
The leaner and more Chablisiane reminiscent of our two main Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay bottlings, White Hill highlights the unique salinity that comes through in the ancient soils of Sta. Rita Hills.
NOTES: Floral and fragrant, fresh tangerine, beeswax, jasmine. Up front minerality follow by a slightly creamier mid-palate with hints of baked lemon curd.
Antonio Galloni - 94 points "The 2016 Chardonnay White Hill is beautifully layered, creamy and expressive. Lees stirring adds lovely textural depth to a core of orchard fruit, chamomile, tangerine and lightly honeyed notes. Ample and impeccably balanced, the White Hill is a wine of real distinction and class." - From Santa Barbara Dreamin' (Sept. 2018)
Jeb Dunnuck - 93 points "Brought up mostly in neutral oak, the 2016 Chardonnay White Hill is a lively, elegant, seamless Chardonnay that just glides across the palate. White flowers, salty minerality, white peach, and apple blossom notes all emerge from the glass and it's ethereal, lightly textured, and incredibly graceful. Drink it any time over the coming 5-7 years." - New Releases From Santa Barbara County (October 2018)
